Bumrah and Mandhana Clinch Historic Double for India in ICC Player of the Month Awards

The ICC crowned Jasprit Bumrah and Smriti Mandhana as the Player of the Month winners for June 2024, marking a historic first in the award’s history. The Indian duo’s red-hot form propelled them to the top after a global fan vote and the evaluation of a specialist panel.

Bumrah spearheaded India’s charge to T20 World Cup glory in June. He weaved a web of control and accuracy throughout the tournament, suffocating opposing teams with his consistent bowling. In high-pressure clashes, Bumrah snatched crucial wickets, most notably against arch-rivals Pakistan where he emerged as Player of the Match with the scalps of Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed.
