Test cricket is a tough game that requires players to be at their best for long periods. It tests a player’s skills, mental toughness, and character. Some Indian cricketers have done very well in this format and even have won many prestigious Man of the Match awards due to their incredible performance.

Let’s look at the top 5 cricketers with the most Man of the Match awards in Test Cricket for India

Sachin Tendulkar (14 MOTM)

Sachin Tendulkar is a legend of the game. His impact on the game is enormous, both in India and globally. Tendulkar is one of the greatest batsmen of all time and has scored the most runs in Test using extraordinary skills.

With 14 MOTM awards, the Indian legend holds the record for the most MOTM awards in Test cricket. In Test cricket, Sachin has scored 15921 runs with 51 centuries in 200 tests.

Rahul Dravid (11 MOTM)

known as “The Wall” because of his solid batting technique and temperament, Rahul Dravid’s batting skills, and resilience in bad times, have made him one of the most respected cricketers globally. The second Indian on the list with the most Man-Of-The-Match awards in test cricket is Rahul Dravid. He has won 11 Man of the Match awards in Test cricket in 164 matches, scoring 13288 runs in 286 innings.

Ravindra Jadeja (10 MOTM)

A modern-day all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja has recently won his 10th Man of the Match award in the 3rd Test match vs England at Rajkot and hence stands third in the list.

Ravindra Jadeja hit a century in the first innings and a five-wicket haul in the second innings of the third Test against England at Rajkot. Jadeja, a key player for the Indian team in recent years, has won 10 Man of the Match awards in a total of 70 Tests that he has played. So far, the all-rounder has taken 287 wickets and amassed 3005 runs.

Virat Kohli (10 MOTM)

Virat Kohli is a prolific run-scorer and dominator in Test cricket. Virat Kohli’s records in white-ball cricket are exceptional. His performances in Test cricket have often been crucial for India’s success, further cementing his status in the field of cricket.

Often called King Kohli, the former Indian captain has scored 8848 runs in 191 innings, winning 10 Man of the Matches awards in 113 Test matches that he has played in.

Anil Kumble (10 MOTM)

Anil Kumble, the legendary leg-spinner had taken over 600 wickets in his Test career. His bowling style, a mix of accuracy and variations, made him a formidable opponent for batsmen around the world. He was a match-winner for India on many occasions and is considered one of the greatest bowlers of all time.
