He smashed a staggering 26 sixes throughout the series at an astonishing strike rate of 79.91. just four behind England’s entire team! This feat comfortably broke the record for most sixes by a batter in a Test series.
Previously, no team had even come close to hitting 50 sixes in a Test series. But India shattered that record in the very first innings of the fourth Test! The third Test in Rajkot witnessed a rain of sixes as well, with India launching 28 of their totals in that match alone, another record.
