Women’s Premier League (WPL): A New Start for Women’s Cricket

The Women’s Premier League continues to make big marks for Indian cricket, finally giving female players a long-awaited platform to showcase their talent on a grand stage. Six teams – Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators; will lock horns across multiple venues in Pakistan. Lahore will host the opening match, while Karachi will host the playoffs and the final. The opening match will be on February 17th.
