Umesh Yadav, the Gujarat Titans’ star pacer, has etched his name in the record books of the IPL. During the recent match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), Umesh achieved a remarkable feat by dismissing their skipper, Shikhar Dhawan, for just 1 run.
This seemingly ordinary wicket turned out to be historic. With Dhawan’s dismissal, Umesh surpassed some of the biggest names in IPL bowling, including his teammate Mohit Sharma, Kolkata Knight Riders’ Sunil Narine, and the Chennai Super Kings’ legend Dwayne Bravo.
Umesh now holds the record for the highest number of wickets taken by a bowler against a single team in IPL history. He has dismissed a staggering 34 PBKS batsmen throughout his IPL career.
Previously, he was tied with Mohit Sharma (33 wickets against MI), Dwayne Bravo (33 wickets against MI), and Sunil Narine (33 wickets against PBKS).
Umesh’s journey in the IPL began in 2010 with the Delhi Capitals (then Daredevils), where he spent his initial four seasons. Since then, he has donned the jerseys of Kolkata Knight Riders (in two separate stints), Royal Challengers Bangalore, and has even returned to the Delhi Capitals for a brief period. This experience across various franchises has honed his skills and given him ample opportunities to face different batsmen.
While Umesh might have lost his spot in the Indian Test team recently, he has been a pillar of strength for quite some time. In the IPL, his bowling prowess is undeniable – he has a total of 139 wickets in 145 matches played so far. His most impressive season came in 2018 while playing for RCB, where he bagged a whopping 20 wickets in just 14 games.
Umesh Yadav’s record-breaking feat is a testament to his dedication and consistency as a fast bowler. This achievement serves as a warning to all IPL batsmen, especially those from the Punjab Kings – beware of Umesh Yadav, the king slayer!

Virat Kohli, the indomitable batsman and a legend in the Indian Premier League (IPL), continues to rewrite the record books. This season has been another testament to his brilliance, with Kohli adding yet another feather to his already overflowing cap. Against the Rajasthan Royals, Kohli smashed his eighth IPL century,

Indian Premier League (IPL) superstar Rishabh Pant made history during a recent match between his team, the Delhi Capitals (DC), and the Gujarat Titans (GT). Pant's blistering knock of 88 runs in just 43 balls helped DC win the close encounter. But it was his performance against a single bowler.

The Mumbai Indians (MI) have just unlocked a new achievement in the cricket world! They are the first team ever to play 250 matches in IPL history. This is a huge achievement, especially considering they reached this milestone before other strong teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
