Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) rewrote history books on Sunday with a dominant performance against the Gujarat Titans. This match wasn’t just about winning – it was a night of records being shattered, especially by the young Englishman, Will Jacks.
RCB chased down a mammoth target of 201 runs in just 16 overs, equalling the biggest win by balls remaining while chasing a 200-plus target in T20 cricket history. This chase was even more remarkable considering RCB had a history of struggling in such situations, having lost all previous chases of 200+ runs between 2010 and 2024.
While the win itself was a huge feat, Jacks stole the show with his blistering knock. He scored a century in just 41 balls, making it the fifth fastest hundred in the IPL and the second-fastest for RCB. But what truly set him apart was how quickly he reached his hundred after his fifty. Jacks needed only 10 balls to get from 50 to 100 runs – the fewest deliveries any batsman has taken to achieve this feat in the IPL!
This knock wasn’t just fast, it was also highly productive. Jacks smashed 95 runs during the crucial middle overs– the third most runs scored by a batsman during this period in IPL history.
Will Jacks reached his fifty off 31 balls and ended up smashing a ton off his 41st delivery – only 10 deliveries to score his next fifty runs. These are the fewest balls taken by a batter to reach 100 from 50 going past Chris Gayle who had taken only 13 deliveries to reach his 100 from 50 against Pune Warriors in 2013.
This victory marks a new chapter for RCB, not just for securing their first successful chase of a 200+ target but also for the records broken by Jacks. With his explosive batting and Kohli’s experience, RCB is definitely a team to watch out for in the IPL this season.

Yuzvendra Chahal etched his name in Indian cricket history on Tuesday, becoming the first Indian bowler to claim a staggering 350 wickets in T20 cricket. This remarkable feat underlines Chahal's exceptional skills and unwavering consistency in the fast-paced world of T20s.

Chennai Super Kings' star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had a night to remember on Monday during their IPL match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. Not only did he shine with his bowling, but he also achieved a remarkable feat in the field, joining the exclusive club of players.

A lot of people, including critics, have been questioning Virat Kohli's performance, especially in T20 cricket. Some even say he shouldn't be picked for the upcoming World Cup. But Kohli has been shutting them up with his powerful batting performances, this time against Punjab Kings. He scored 77 runs and helped his team win their first match of the season. But the bat is not the only tool or weapon
