Yuzvendra Chahal Becomes First Indian Bowler to Take 350 Wickets in T20 Cricket History

Yuzvendra Chahal etched his name in Indian cricket history on Tuesday, becoming the first Indian bowler to claim a staggering 350 wickets in T20 cricket. This remarkable feat underlines Chahal’s exceptional skills and unwavering consistency in the fast-paced world of T20s.

Playing for the Rajasthan Royals against the Delhi Capitals, Chahal reached the landmark by dismissing the dangerous Rishabh Pant. Remarkably, he achieved this milestone in his 301st T20 appearance, leaving the next-best Indian bowler, Piyush Chawla of Mumbai Indians, trailing with 310 wickets.

While the former West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo reigns supreme with a staggering 625 wickets, Chahal has secured his place as the fifth spin bowler and sixth Asian cricketer to reach this coveted milestone.

Chahal’s 350 wickets showcase his dedication to both the national team and various T20 leagues. He holds the record for the most wickets (96) taken by an Indian bowler in international T20s.  Furthermore, his 201 wickets in the IPL stand as a testament to his dominance in the tournament.

Chahal’s journey to this historic feat is paved with countless match-winning spells, both for India and in various T20 leagues. His mastery of leg-spin and his ability to outfox batsmen have cemented his position as a vital cog in any T20 team.
