Mayank Agarwal’s 62 runs contributed to a first-innings total of 325 which was followed by a dismantling of the New Zealand batting lineup by the Indian bowlers led by Jayant Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin for just 62 runs. India declared their second innings at 276/7, setting a target of 540. The spin duo of Jayant Yadav and R Ashwin again proved unstoppable, dismissing the Kiwis for 167 runs and securing a comprehensive victory within four days.

Conquering South Africa by 337 Runs (2015)

In 2015, on a batting-friendly pitch of Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi, India aimed for a series sweep against South Africa. Ajinkya Rahane’s century set the tone as India posted 334 runs in the first innings. Ravindra Jadeja’s stellar bowling performance, coupled with captaincy by Virat Kohli, restricted South Africa to 121 runs. With Rahane’s another century in the second innings, India declared a target of 481 runs. India emerged victorious by 337 runs, sealing the series 3-0.

Outclassing New Zealand by 321 Runs (2016)

Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli in 2016, India secured a 321-run victory against New Zealand in Holkar Stadium, M.P With Kohli’s impressive 211, and Ajinkya Rahane’s 188, India declared their first innings at 557/5. Ravichandran Ashwin’s six-wicket haul in the first innings with his seven-wicket haul in the second, pushed India to victory as they completed a 3-0 clean sweep of the series. Ashwin was later awarded with Player of the Series.
